Problem: Nigeria is the world largest producers of yam, cassava, cocoyam, beans, egusi/melon seeds and amongst the largest producers of corn/maize, pumpkin leaves, plantain and ground nuts. These foods generates unavoidable food waste that contributes to landfill etc and produces more methane greenhouse gas causing climate change. Globally food waste contributes 20% of of methane emissions. Inorder to protect the environment we are making innovatively leather from this problem.

Unique Selling Point: Alot of startups are focused on reducing food waste via cold chain logistics, cold storage etc. But we are among the first in Africa solving this particular type of food waste by converting it to a high demand leather. We focus majorly on spoilt, damaged food waste inorder to reduce methane emissions. We innovatively convert this food waste to leathers, hereby saving animals that are at risk of being killed to get leather out of them, and also providing a green eco-friendly leather free from harmful chemicals. Our leather is biodegradable, can replace traditional existing leathers and it reduces food waste pollution.
