The conventional way of monitoring blood sugar is painful, risky and time consuming. My aunt was diagnosed with diabetes in 2009 and for the last 13 years, she have had to prick the tip of her fingers twice everyday with a needle-like object in order to get blood for testing her blood sugar levels and injecting her insulin. So, I started working in a solution that will allow her and over 25 million African adults who are living with the disease to monitor and manage their blood sugar and other vitals in a fast, safe, and pain-free way using continuous glucose monitoring and automatic insulin delivery technology, accompanied with lifestyle changes and diet control for holistic care.

Unique Selling Point: Other people are digitizing glucometers which still require patients to pierce themselves and increase their risk of contracting blood borne viruses. with CARETRACE, we are building continuous glucose monitors and automatic insulin delivery systems that eliminates the need for continuous piercing using needles. Also, people are using off-the-shelf meal plans for managing their diet if they are diabetic, but with caretrace, patients get access to specialized meal and treatment plans based on their blood sugar concentration.
