Problem: Mytherapist.ng is a startup focused on providing teletherapy services to Nigerians of all age groups and financial backgrounds. The problem we are trying to solve is the limited access to mental healthcare in Nigeria, particularly in remote areas, due to a lack of infrastructure and a shortage of trained mental health professionals. This has resulted in many Nigerians with mental health challenges not getting the help they need, leading to a significant mental health crisis in the country. Mytherapist.ng aims to bridge this gap by providing affordable and accessible teletherapy services through a mobile app. Our platform connects users with licensed therapists who provide confidential and professional mental health support to clients from the comfort of their homes or offices. By making mental healthcare accessible to more Nigerians, we hope to help reduce the stigma associated with mental illness, improve mental health outcomes, and promote the overall well-being of the Nigerian population.
Unique Selling Point: At Mytherapist.ng, we are providing a teletherapy solution that allows Nigerians to access mental health support from licensed professionals through a mobile app. Traditional in-person therapy can be expensive and inaccessible to many people due to factors such as distance, stigma, and time constraints. Our solution is different in that it offers an affordable and accessible option for people who may not otherwise have access to therapy. Through the mobile app, users can connect with licensed therapists, schedule appointments, and have video or audio sessions from the comfort of their own homes. Our platform also allows users to choose from a variety of therapists and select the one that best suits their needs. We are leveraging technology to make mental health support more accessible and convenient, and are working to remove the stigma surrounding therapy by normalizing conversations around mental health in Nigeria.
