Problem: Generator, Disco and Gate Automation Solution The project aims to provide convenience to households by addressing the challenges associated with operating diesel generators. The author has taken into account the time and energy required to negotiate stairs to switch on the generator, and has introduced a time-scheduled operation feature that allows for defined ranges of operation. A web app has also been designed for easy integration with Google Chrome on PCs and smartphones. Tracking devices have been installed on the generator tanks and auxiliary supply tanks to provide real-time visualization on the web app, thereby reducing theft. To further enhance the functionality of the system, a logic has been included to track distribution company supplies and interruptions. The generator will switch off when the disco supplies power and will come back on if the supply is interrupted. Additionally, the web app includes features for opening and closing the main gate of the house.

Unique Selling Point: While there are automatic change-over systems available in the market that facilitate switching between power supply sources, this project goes beyond basic functionality. It includes email functionality that allows remote monitoring of the generator's on/off status, as well as notification of disco activity. Additionally, the quantity of diesel in the tank can be viewed in real-time by the client. In addition, this project eliminates the need for additional gadgets to control the system, as it can be easily operated using mobile phones and PCs.
