Problem: My interest is to use my psychology practice, Energace Therapeutic Learning Consults to create innovative mental health solutions that are effective in the work place. Human capital has been proven to explain at least one-third of the variation in labour earnings within countries and at least half of the variation across countries, allowing an economy to grow adequately. Studies by WHO shows that the global economy loses about US $ 1 trillion per year in productivity due to depression; anxiety; stress induced environments and inability to handle the everyday stressors. Further studies identify an advantage; every dollar invested in the care of the mental health of employees leads to a return of $4 in terms of the ability to work and thus contribute to the economy. Another study shows that 46% of our workforce are workplace illiterate because they do not possess the skills to utilize the tools that drive productivity. Carnegie institute studies highlights 15% of career success is due to technical competence and 85% is due to interpersonal skills. This will imply that there is a direct connection between mental health and productivity. Organizations need employees (top level, middle level and low level) who have the ability to assimilate, process and comprehend information in an efficient and effective manner that allows them to take actions to facilitate the overall strategy of the business. Today organizations are facing a number of issues that undermine the cognitive and emotional capacity of employees. We purport to use our innovative mental health solutions such as: Cognitive Training Programme; Brainwave Entrainment Therapy; and the talk therapy methods like: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Psychotherapy to achieve efficacy in work performance; promote relaxation; improving mood, emotional well-being, logical thinking, and cognitive skills.

Unique Selling Point: Currently we have mental health organizations developing teletherapy methods (talktherapy) which is important in the bid to make therapy more accessable. However, we are for innovation in therapy in Nigeria and are also offering onsite and remote services, this is the adequate time to pursue this with the new mental health bill passed on January 6, 2023. Aside from talk therapy we are purporting the use of technology such as devices and softwares in hope to achieve a wholesome measure that ensures effectiveness, mental wellness and balanced well-being. Our Talk Therapy: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a form of talk therapy or psychotherapy which has been tried and tested for individual therapy, group therapy and the workplace. It focuses on working with the mind (decision making, thinking, memory, mental processing of information and concentration) of a person to improve their pattern of thinking, hence influence their emotions and behaviours. Negative thought patterns may involve the prevalence of thoughts that suppress positive emotions, such as ‘this good feeling won’t last’ or ‘I don’t deserve to be this happy’, leaving the individual in a tense, anxious, panicking, or low mood hence affecting their performance at work. Cognitive behavioural therapy techniques help the individual outthink negative thought patterns by looking inward which might sometimes be difficult when one is stressed, fatigue, anxious or depressed. This will aid the employee with the guidance of our psychologist or accredited mental health professional to analysing thought patterns, questioning negative thoughts, and learning how to recognise how one can help their own selves. The resultant effect is to obtain a state of clarity of mind; increase logical thinking and productivity. It has been shown that CBT is associated with improvement for employees both in terms of reducing the impact of mental health on work perceptions and improving their general functioning. Cognitive Training Programme, is an innovative software-based programme designed in the space of over 4 decades to train and develop the human brain. And our company has a license to implement this method in Nigeria. That is, just as the human body requires physical training to build stamina, flexibility and coordination of physical activities: cognitive training aims at developing and strengthening stamina, strength, flexibility and coordination of the brain’s capacity for mental activity. Research shows that our cognitive skills accounts for 40% to 50% of the foundation of learning; hence, an intentional attempt should be made, knowing that learning or cognitive capacities aren’t fixed and can be developed as a result of the neuroplasticity of the brain. This cognitive skills include foundation cognitive skills like: attention, visual processing, auditory processing, sensory integration and memory; core executive functions: Working Memory, Inhibitory control, Cognitive flexibility and Higher Order Executive Function: Reasoning, Problem solving, Planning, Critical thinking, Collaboration, Creativity, Communication. Cognitive training relies on the process of neuroplasticity. Neuroplasticity is the biological method for how the brain responds to its environment – learning the skills and adaptive behavior necessary to survive. This pattern of learned behavior, skill acquisition, and memory encoding is also known as experience and wisdom. Neuroplasticity is the basis for all brain training. Neuroplasticity is not a method; it is an attribute or property of brains and means that they are constantly changing. Everything we do changes our brains physiologically. Every interaction with the outside environment changes our brains. The purpose of a brain is survival. Several people participate in cognitive training for a variety of reasons. Some of the basic reasons are: cognitive training primary purpose often is to help in the improvement of one’s ability to learn. Children and adults who struggle with learning can strengthen weaker cognitive skills as well as continue to develop stronger skills in order to speed up learning and/or make learning easier. Also, adults often participate in cognitive training in order to improve their mental acuity and their ability to manage work tasks efficiently; still other adults use cognitive training to help build cognitive reserve to maintain quality of life as they age. In the workplace we implement this Programme by developing 43 of the human cognitive skills in employees and employers with the use of our computerized software. Thereby, training the brain with the ability to organize, manipulate, assimilate, process, exercise flexibility, apply and comprehend information in an efficient and effective manner that allows each employee and employer to take actions or make decisions to facilitate the overall strategy of the business and enhancing productivity. Brainwave Entrainment Therapy, is our therapeutic device that utilizes pulses of light and sound at specific frequencies to gently and safely guide the brain into various brain wave patterns, thereby sharpening and balancing the mind; helps achieve peak mental and physical performance; increase level of relaxation; boosting of mood; increasing brain health; reduces stress and worry level; improve concentration, attention and memory, even combat the blues: and elevates our mental well-being in general. A positive, healthy mind-state can give you the edge needed for outstanding business performance. Stress and thoughts of doubt and failure can have a devastating effect on performance. Negative thoughts reduce serotonin levels in the brain. A high level of serotonin is directly linked to superior job performance and leadership ability. BET has been shown to increase serotonin, as well as has been shown to produce dramatic increases in cerebral blood flow, efficient brain activity, and sound mental health. This therapy also includes Cranio-Electro Stimulation is a non-invasive brain stimulation that uses a small pulsed electric current to the brain to produce neurotransmitters that the brain needs to create a balance.
