Stage of Innovation: Prototype (You have a working physical product)

Problem: At Amina Dyslexia Center, we are dedicated to tackling the issue of dyslexia, a learning disability that hinders the development of literacy skills in children. Thereby increasing the number of out-of-school children in Nigeria.

Unique Selling Point: Our competitors offer assessments and literacy instruction for dyslexia at their various centers. Once the individual is able to read, the instruction stops there. At Amina Dyslexia Center, however, we take a two-pronged approach to the problem, one that can easily be digitized and scaled. Our toolkit, which can be purchased by teachers or parents, contains courses designed to support the literacy development of children and adults with dyslexia and other neurological conditions. Neuro-diverse individuals are artistically inclined therefore, we offer art based vocational courses for young adults who have dyslexia. We are currently upgrading the courses to accommodate people with autism and cerebral palsy. These will help them secure decent jobs and a means of livelihood.
