Stage of Innovation: Proof of Concept (You have created something to show the innovation can work)

Problem: Nigeria has about 20 Million Out of school children and many students in schools have limited access to useful academic resources due to high poverty rates. This number, formerly 10.8 Million in 2015 is likely to double by 2040 and will produce citizens with low quality of life, behavioural problems and extreme poverty. Learning classrooms in most schools in Nigeria are not conducive for learning and students cannot perform at their best abilities. Nigeria has 60% of its population as youths who determine the future of any nation, inability to train our children to meet international standards will produce an economically less privileged and backward nation. Many students find it difficult to discipline themselves to meet study goals: many students find it difficult to keep track of their personal learning progress and fail to meet their academic goals which will cause many students to resort to studying courses they lack interest in and consequently limit their ability to perform at their best. Unavailablity of structured test questions for undergrads in Nigerian universities for revision: in every educational institution, students rely on past questions to revise and prepare adequately for examinations, in Nigeria many educational institutions do not release these resources and for some others, there are no sustainable systems for proper management of confidential copies leading to undeserved frustration for many students. The growing decline of motivation to study for many students in Nigeria: from varying problems in the education sector like inadequate teachers, national insecurity, poverty, poor infrastructures, demotivated teachers, e.t.c, about 20% of students who wrote the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) passed above 200 out of 400, and supported by the cut-off mark trend for the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board(JAMB) from 120 in 2012, to 140 in 2015 and currently 100 out of 400 in UTME for universities, studying in Nigeria might become only a last resort and will result to increased national brain drain.
