Problem: Over 1 million buildings in the tropical and coastal regions of Nigeria are affected by one problem, which is a damped wall; the most under rated problem in the Nigerian building construction industry but yet is affecting over 50million Nigerians. Now looking at the statistics, 40% of the 100,000 buildings completed in the Nigerian’s tropical regions each year are affected by this problem. Apart from the underlying health issues damped walls bring such as asthma, and other respiratory illness. Majority of solutions proving to address the problem of damp penetration are very expensive and can leave house owners spending over $10,000 yearly trying to manage this problem. At Astrae we are solving the problem of damped walls by providing a primary solution using carbon Cure Technology to make concrete blocks that are damp penetration resistant. In doing so, our product solves both damp penetration issues and climate change as well.
