Stage of Innovation: Proof of Concept (You have created something to show the innovation can work)
Problem: The Support of 250 girls (10-24 years) return to school to access free education and complete primary and secondary levels in Kaduna State from poor and vulnerable families from Six (6) less privileged Communities of by mobilising, sensitizing communities, providing counselling, scholastic materials, uniform, shoes, dialogue meetings and trainings.
Unique Selling Point: This is a scaling up project we plan to implement after implementing rights-based approach Project which registered great success with 240 out of schoolgirls returning to school and resuming their learning and successfully solving over 524 domestic/Gender based violence cases between 2020/2021. This strategy will involve engaging directly with the affected girls and focus will be on girl child aimed at registering, Identifying, mobilizing, engaging with these out of school girls and registering them to advocate for their rights to education through drama, community fora Dialogue meetings and other engagement channels including support. The project will strike a balance between women and men based on the principles of equality. It will provide levelled platforms for participation of women/ girl child and boys in all aspects of the interventions. It will also enable women and men to work together through participatory approaches. Gender will be integrated at all levels of implementation including reporting and documentation. CDHI highly respects the principle of crosscutting issues such as HIV/AIDS, Environment, and rights of marginalized groups and will be mainstreamed throughout the project implementation.
