Problem: 50% of the 10 million graduates produced by high institutions in Africa, do not get jobs. This is mostly attributed to graduates being ignorant about the workplace and lacking relevant workplace skills (also called soft skills, employability skills or job readiness skills). The most common solutions out there, either happens after they leave higher institution or is limited to quantity & quality in equipping them with the required workplace skills. A lack of workplace skills sets workers up for failure - job loss, short-term employment and lack of advancement - and costs employers more money with higher turnover rates and lower customer satisfaction.
Unique Selling Point: Most students never care about their employability until after graduation, because they only think getting a good degree is the only way. However, some students concerned, usually take up a part-time job, volunteer, kickstart a small side business or network and join some career/job groups for opportunities. However, even the most common solutions out there, either happens after they leave the higher institution or is limited to quantity & quality in equipping them with the required workplace skills. Our learning framework is designed to equip them with 7 research-back relevant workplace skills, through a mix of different learning techniques. Also, while traditional solutions offer their learning as a self-paced and unguided program, we run ours as a cohort-based trainings with further personalized career mentorship.
