I am excited to share my innovation with you. It is a Solar powered smart waste bin I designed from scratch that's revolutionizing waste management with built in sensors, speech system and internet connectivity.
I am excited to have created this technology that will be making a positive impact in our environment.
The bin uses sensors to detect when someone wants to dispose of waste, automatically opening to receive it.
Additionally, it employs sensors to detect when it reaches capacity, sending this information to a central server managed by the waste management.
Stage of Innovation: Prototype (You have a working physical product)
Problem:
I want to solve the problem of waste management in our environment through the use of innovative smart bins. One of the advantage of the bin is
- it's built in speech system that encourages the people to properly dispose their refuse.
- ability to send message to a central server when the bin is full
- it is solar powered and created from a durable material
- it opens by itself when someone comes close to it
The smart bin is going to reduce collection visits.
Unique Selling Point: Currently in my environment "Nigeria" I have not seen anyone providing this solution of smart bin. One great feature of this bin is its speech system and Solar based design which is different other innovation I have seen. I believe technology can also be used to solve certain problems around. For me, solving the issue of waste collection and disposal is number one on my list.
