At Greenlite solution we focuses on recycling waste materials especially plastic into value added products. Our product categories into two department
1. Sustainphere fashion: here we were able to utilize pure water sachets and random nylons waste into school bags, wallets and belts.
2. Green lite furniture: we were able to recycle plastic waste bottles and groundnut husk waste into wooden like material in replacement of deforestation prone woods. This product can be use for furniture and construction and has proven to be stronger than average MDF board via tensile strength machine.
Stage of Innovation: Prototype (You have a working physical product)
Problem:
Deforestation: Rather than contributing to deforestation by cutting down trees for furniture purposes, our product offers a sustainable alternative with a better environmental impact.
Recycling: Nigeria generates approximately 2.5 million tons of plastic waste annually, with around 70% of this waste improperly disposed of in landfills and water bodies.
Moreover, research shows that 50-60 million water sachets are discarded into the streets of Nigeria daily. This harmful effects must be curbed for the benefit of future generations and mitigate climate change.
The most effective approach is to recycle these waste materials into new value-added products instead of allowing them to pollute landfills and water bodies.
Unique Selling Point: The producers of MDF board use trees, contributing to deforestation and the depletion of our ozone layer. In contrast, our product utilizes natural fibers such as groundnut shell waste and plastic waste as a binder, positively impacting the environment and boosting our economy through a circular approach. Additionally, our eco-friendly bags and belts offer competitive prices compared to other products in the market, further reducing the footprint of anthropological activities like plastic waste while maintaining good quality.
