Solar/Alternator hybrid

Innovations Item Code: IN-2024-2100416

Sector: Renewable/Green Energy

Description:

Solar and alternator hybrid power supply, is an alternative power generator which aims at eliminating the combustion engine of a generator.

This is achieved by replacing the combustion process (energy required to drive the alternator and load) with the energy from batteries coupled with "correlated magnetic" piston process.

This exhaustive input energy is replenished by a solar panels and completes the cycle.

Stage of Innovation: Proof of Concept (You have created something to show the innovation can work)

Problem:

Solar/Alternator hybrid power supply is aimed at eliminating combustion in power generation process, thereby providing;

Green energy

Noise reduction

Reduction in solar energy cost

Low alternator maintenance costs

Unique Selling Point: Having discovered the possible application of the recently developed "correlated magnets" and its potential to drive combustion piston. I've reserched into existing companies who might be venturing into it.. Here are commercially produced free piston generators. Some of the companies that produce them are ¹ ²: - *Libertine LPE*: A UK-based company that targets power generation, waste-heat recovery and range-extended electric vehicle applications. - *Aquarius Engines*: An Israel-based company that produces free-piston linear generators. - *Toyota*: A Japanese company that developed a high-efficiency free piston no-crankshaft combustion engine to power an electric vehicle. - *West Virginia University*: A US-based university that developed a spark-ignited dual-piston engine generator. - *Sandia National Laboratory*: A US-based laboratory that developed a dual-piston FPEG that operates using the homogeneous charge compression ignition mode and can be used with a variety of fuels.
