My innovation involves the development of a locally-made mobile solar power generator for the UNILAG compus. The solar generator will be made of lithium batteries, pure sine wave inverters (which will be locally constructed), MPPT charge controller, smart/intelligent casing, and locally fabricated glass-module monocrystalline solar panels.

Problem:

I am trying to solve the problem of epileptic and high-cost of power supply from the national grid to the university of Lagos.



Unique Selling Point: There are a lot of solar power generation in the market but many of them have not been able to meet the needs of an average Nigerian. Also, the cost of this power system is high with relatively low life-span and power storage capacity. However, our proposed solar generator will be made of lithium batteries, a pure sine wave inverter (which will be locally constructed), MPPT charge controller, smart/intelligent casing, and locally fabricated glass-module monocrystalline solar panels. The production of the power system will greatly encourage local content, thereby, reducing the cost of production and the product. Consequently, making it affordable for the masses.
